This course provides a thematic and historical overview of Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism, in the two cultural regions of India and China. Focusing on the major religious themes of each tradition, we examine how some religions developed in dialogue with each other, while others crystallized into distinct traditions in reaction to each other. 4 credits.
