This course examines the function of sports in contemporary American Society. Students will perform a critical analysis of sport-related controversies, and study the ethical considerations used in decision-making. As an upper level course, students will be expected to read and comprehend advanced material, contribute meaningfully to class discussions, and exhibit personal involvement in order to complete course objectives. Hours credit: 4. Prerequisite: junior standing or permission of the instructor.
