Laboratory exercises will involve multi-week projects implementing the fundamental tools of molecular biology and genetic engineering. Techniques include cloning, transformation, DNA isolation and restriction enzyme analysis, PCR, sequence analysis, and examination of protein expression, structure and function. Hours credit: 1.
