This course explores ring and field theory, focusing on ideals, quotient rings, and factorization in UFDs, PIDs, and Euclidean domains. Field extensions, including algebraic and finite fields, are covered in depth. Credit hours: 4. Prerequisites: MATH 2234 and Math 2241 or permission of the Department.
